Honeymoon!

So I haven't gotten back wedding pics yet so that will have to be a later post... BUT I want to update everyone on our honeymoon! We went to Cancun Mexico! (it was actually about an hour away from Cancun) We loved every second of it.. I will probably type too much but enjoy the story!

Sunday July 10
      Our flight didn't leave until midnight so all day Sunday we just lounged around and had to pack for our trip! I finished packing at about 9:30 pm.. and we were supposed to leave for the airport at 10. So I was getting everything ready and realized I needed to get my passport.. but when I looked in the spot where it was supposed to be it was not there. I started looking in other places and when I didn't see it this is when everyone started freaking out.  I felt like we ripped our house apart and searched everywhere and still we didn't find it. Jake was on the phone with our travel agent seeing what our options were and she tried to give us some hope.. but we knew there was no way I could travel without it. After about a million prayers Jake was sitting on a bench when he looked up and saw my passport in a bag of lingerie (how it got there I have no clue!) The weird thing is, is I searched that bag and my mom even dumped it out and looked. So we were meant to go!!

Monday July 11
     After a long night of traveling and a 5 hour layover in Atlanta we finally reached our resort! It was breath taking! The pool area was huge and the ocean was RIGHT there! When we got to our room they had a cute sash on the door that said 'Just Married' and roses all over our bed which was so cute! It was all inclusive so we got unlimited food (which I get to do ALOT of Zumba to work off those vacation pounds) and unlimited drinks so we are still getting used to not having a pina colada in our hand at all times.

The next couple of days we just layed out by the pool and the beach and we loved every minute of soaking up the sun! At night they had shows that were pretty entertaining! The last show we went to Jake actually got called up on stage (which he loved every minute of it...) and there was 3 other guys and they had to help perform a magic trick.

Thursday July 14
   This day we woke up early and went with our tour guide and went deep into the jungle and went rapelling, zip lining, cave exploring and snorkeling and the most beautiful beach! This was such a fun adventure day and even though Jake is afraid of heights he did it ALL!!

Friday July 15
  This was a sad day because we had to leave paradise! Our flight was supposed to go from Cancun to Michigan, then from Michigan to Phoenix. Well on our way to Michigan we had to do an emergency landing in New Orleans because a lady was having serious chest pain and anxiety. So that caused mostly everyone to miss their connection flight so we were the lucky ones to stay the night in Detroit Michigan! yay us! Delta gave us a hotel and food voucher for the night then we woke up early the next day and caught another flight to Phoenix!
