Social Butterfly

Lexie made a baby cry on Sunday.... Like he was frightened and screaming. And all because she screamed at him... Not a mean or angry scream but an ecstatic I love you scream. She LOVES any baby or kid. Even if they aren't paying attention to her, she will wave both arms in the air and start jabbering/screaming at them. She is officially crawling now too so she is actually playing with other kids... Makes me sad!! But then I feel better about it cause if I leave the room
She cries for me..... So she still likes me for now!

One of her favorite people is her cousin Taylor! And it's a win win cause taylor takes her out of my arms the minute we walk in somewhere so she's a great babysitter in training!

Loves her friend Grayson!

Chatting with some kids at the grocery store

Face timing her cousin Tre! They are about a month and a half apart.

Every Friday I nanny the cutest family (5 kids including Lexie) and at times it's crazy but Lexie loves it because its a new big house with new toys and she loves playing with all the kids!! Especially the baby who's about a month older than her... They just crawl after each other all day.

Enduring Love

I came across this video today and it made me so emotional. I often get so caught up in life and don't stop and realize how lucky our little family is! We may not be the wealthiest, have the nicest cars, or buy super nice things but its all the little blessings that I need to be grateful for each day. Healthy happy baby, a patient spouse who will love me no matter what, a house with air conditioning, two cars (with air... That's important In Arizona) that work perfect, and so much more. I love this video because this couple love and serve each other even with their hardships and without each other they couldn't do it! Random post but I had to share this video.

9 months

Miss Lexie is officially 9 months and probably has the energy of three 9 month old babies. Her doc appt. is next week so I'm not sure what her exact stats are but she had definitely chunked up quite a bit! I write these things mainly so I can remember them when I fill in her baby book that I have actually been keeping updated!

- not crawling on all fours yet... She will do a couple of real crawls then plop to her stomach and drag her little body so quick to where she wants to go.
- pulls herself up on EVERYTHING. Couch, bathtub, dish washer, mom and dad, chairs at church, chairs at home that may have fallen back on her in the process. She definitely keeps us on our toes and we can't look away for a second.
- very social with everyone, but especially little kids and other babies. If she sees a child she will just start screaming and talking and laughing at them, even if they could care less about her. We got extremely lucky and it makes me nervous to think about what my other babies might be like but she is a happy baby 98% of the time, rarely cries and is just so easy!
-could eat yogurt all day. Loves the stuff and also wants whatever mom and dad are eating.
- LOVES the water. Bath time is her absolute favorite and gets ecstatic when she hears the bathtub turn on. We also go swimming almost every day. Arizona is so hot already, especially with a baby so we love walking down to the pool and cooling off.

We love this little crazy girl and she has such an out going personality. I'm sad knowing the newborn stage is over but everyone always says the older they get the more fun it is and it's so true! We love watching her experience new things and learn new things and we are responsible for this baby! She has definitely changed our lives and she is such a blessing.

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we met up with my family at Roosevelt Lake to spend the day riding the Jet Ski's! We usually find a spot on the "beach" area to set up camp and swim around while waiting for our turns on the jet skis but the lake was extremely low this year so we had to set up camp at the bottom of a closed boat ramp. It worked out great though and we had so much fun! Lexie was on her antibiotics still and one of the effects is super sensitive skin! So I made sure to put lots of sunscreen on her and try to keep her in the shade, but right underneath her eyes got SO sun burnt I felt  bad. But we had such a great time and can't wait to go to Lake Powell at the end of July!

                                                                Poor sunburned girl :(

Sick

The month of May flew by it seems like but Jake and Lexie both got sick!
Jake doesn't get sick too often, but when he does he gets hit hard. He had been feeling under the weather for a couple of days but was still able to work and go throughout his day.. well one night he was pretty miserable and asked me to take his temperature.. and I was in shock when it said 104! It made us pretty nervous so we took him to Urgent Care. We left there with a shot of morphine, some antibiotics, and some percocet to tolerate his pain. They diagnosed him with strep throat, and he had a root canal go bad as well, so he was in a lot of pain from that. The next night he started throwing up BAD (side effect from the percocet) so he got a priesthood blessing around midnight thanks to an awesome bro in law and neighbor! A couple weeks later he flew to Reno to get some surgery done on his tooth by his AMAZING cousin Spencer who has his own endodontist practice, so he is all better now!

Poor Lexie girl got pretty sick as well... I thought she was just teething but one night she was burning up and was at 103! So we took her to her pediatricians office who has twilight hours and he thought it might be a UTI since her only symptom was a high fever.. so we stuck a bag on her and waited.. and waited.. and waited some more until she finally went pee and sure enough she tested positive for a UT, and also had an ear infection poor girl! So she got some antibiotics for her and she was herself within a couple of days. Now let's just hope I don't catch anything... moms never get sick though right?!

Fullmer California Trip

Jake's sister Carly and her family have been living in California this past year while her husband Jimmy finishes up his last year of fellowship. We decided to take advantage and had a little Fullmer family reunion! Jake is number 4 out of 6 kids so it was definitely a house full but it had been so long since everyone was together at one time. Picture overload!

Day 1:
We went to the LA science museum.. pretty cool place for it being free! We had a little picnic in front of the museum then spent half the day at the museum! The kids loved it.

Then we drove over to the beach (This was the sunniest day) and played games on the pier and all the kids played in the ocean! (In their clothes).

Day 2:
We all loaded up in the car and went to a huge park with fun playground stuff, tennis courts and fields. We had to get creative so that the adults could be entertained and all the kids too. Jake's whole family plays tennis so the adults did that while the kids played!

This was also supposed to be our beach day, but it was pretty overcast and chilly! We went anyway and kids could care less so they all loved playing in the freezing ocean (so did my husband who went in his clothes.. crazy boy!!)

Day 3:
This was Sunday so we all went to church then went to Newport Beach to check out the tide pools. The little town was so cute and it was a gorgeous beach!

Then we hurried home and got ready for family pictures! It was pretty cold so we took as many as we could before all the kids were pictured out and ready to warm up.
