Lake Powell

The last week of July we were lucky enough to spend a WHOLE WEEK at Lake Powell with my side of the family. I was originally just going to come up early Thursday morning with Jake (he couldn't take the whole week off) because I was nervous to be camping at the beach with a baby by myself... but seeing all my family packing, talking about what they were going to do all week. etc. I couldn't be left out so I decided on Saturday that I was going to leave on Monday with my family! And who am I kidding.. Lexie is the most easy going, happy baby so she was perfect all week. (Minus the first night of barely any sleep... babies need to adjust!). The whole week was spent playing in the water, getting some good tans, riding the jet skis, playing with cousins, and just relaxing! It was such a great week and I loved being able to spend time with my WHOLE family. Lexie absolutely loved crawling in the water and just living in a swimsuit for an entire week.

Fourth of July

// We headed up to Rexburg for a whole week to celebrate the Fourth of July! It ended up being an unplanned family reunion (minus Jake's younger brother and his wife) and it was SO fun. We got there a couple days before everyone was there so Lexie got some extra attention that she loved!
// We enjoyed the cool weather, played at Rexburg's new cable park and went wakeboarding and paddle boarding, played at the splash pad and rode the carousel, saw the Rexburg Fourth of July parade, played at Josh and Marie's new property, had a huge bbq with the Fullmer cousins and played volleyball and did our own fireworks show,  had a family tennis tournament, floated the river, and much more! It was a jam packed week with non stop playing!
// Here are tons of pictures from our fun week.. not in order, but enjoy!

All 12 Grandchildren were there! (Lexie is 11 out of 12 and #12 is not in this pic)

Social Butterfly

Lexie made a baby cry on Sunday.... Like he was frightened and screaming. And all because she screamed at him... Not a mean or angry scream but an ecstatic I love you scream. She LOVES any baby or kid. Even if they aren't paying attention to her, she will wave both arms in the air and start jabbering/screaming at them. She is officially crawling now too so she is actually playing with other kids... Makes me sad!! But then I feel better about it cause if I leave the room
She cries for me..... So she still likes me for now!

One of her favorite people is her cousin Taylor! And it's a win win cause taylor takes her out of my arms the minute we walk in somewhere so she's a great babysitter in training!

Loves her friend Grayson!

Chatting with some kids at the grocery store

Face timing her cousin Tre! They are about a month and a half apart.

Every Friday I nanny the cutest family (5 kids including Lexie) and at times it's crazy but Lexie loves it because its a new big house with new toys and she loves playing with all the kids!! Especially the baby who's about a month older than her... They just crawl after each other all day.

Enduring Love

I came across this video today and it made me so emotional. I often get so caught up in life and don't stop and realize how lucky our little family is! We may not be the wealthiest, have the nicest cars, or buy super nice things but its all the little blessings that I need to be grateful for each day. Healthy happy baby, a patient spouse who will love me no matter what, a house with air conditioning, two cars (with air... That's important In Arizona) that work perfect, and so much more. I love this video because this couple love and serve each other even with their hardships and without each other they couldn't do it! Random post but I had to share this video.

9 months

Miss Lexie is officially 9 months and probably has the energy of three 9 month old babies. Her doc appt. is next week so I'm not sure what her exact stats are but she had definitely chunked up quite a bit! I write these things mainly so I can remember them when I fill in her baby book that I have actually been keeping updated!

- not crawling on all fours yet... She will do a couple of real crawls then plop to her stomach and drag her little body so quick to where she wants to go.
- pulls herself up on EVERYTHING. Couch, bathtub, dish washer, mom and dad, chairs at church, chairs at home that may have fallen back on her in the process. She definitely keeps us on our toes and we can't look away for a second.
- very social with everyone, but especially little kids and other babies. If she sees a child she will just start screaming and talking and laughing at them, even if they could care less about her. We got extremely lucky and it makes me nervous to think about what my other babies might be like but she is a happy baby 98% of the time, rarely cries and is just so easy!
-could eat yogurt all day. Loves the stuff and also wants whatever mom and dad are eating.
- LOVES the water. Bath time is her absolute favorite and gets ecstatic when she hears the bathtub turn on. We also go swimming almost every day. Arizona is so hot already, especially with a baby so we love walking down to the pool and cooling off.

We love this little crazy girl and she has such an out going personality. I'm sad knowing the newborn stage is over but everyone always says the older they get the more fun it is and it's so true! We love watching her experience new things and learn new things and we are responsible for this baby! She has definitely changed our lives and she is such a blessing.
