Easter

We had the chance to go to the Easter Pageant this year and it was such a great way to start off the holiday with watching the story of Christ and his Resurrection. My friend Olivia was one of the angels this year so it was fun to see her all dressed up!  We spent Easter with  my family this year and my mom is a great event planner. On Saturday we went over and had a little Easter celebration with an egg hunt, dying eggs, sack races, yummy lunch and swimming. (Yes it was warm enough to go swimming in MARCH).

On Easter Sunday Jake gave a talk in Sacrament meeting and it was so great. I am so lucky to be married to him and he has such a great testimony of our Savior so it was great to be able to hear him express that. We went over to my moms for Easter dinner with my family (my bro in law had some of his relatives there as well) and overall it was a great Easter!

March

Months seem to be FLYING by these days and I don't like it one bit. Lexie is growing up so fast and it feels like every time she wakes up in the morning, shes bigger than she was the night before! March was a fun month for us. We  made a 12+ hour road trip with a 6 month old (never again) and survived, perfect weather in AZ and lots of walks to the park, laying out by the pool, Lexie turned 6 months old, and Easter (post coming on that later).

Preschool

We have been loving our new house, new job and everything seems to be working out for us! Jake just recently got a raise for his job and he has been working SO hard for our family. I also joke and say I have 3 jobs.. which is techinically true but I just wanted something to do where I could keep Lexie with me and still be busy! I teach piano lessons at my moms house, I nanny for a family, and I also started teaching preschool in my house! I basically transformed our living room into a preschool and it has been so fun to actually put my schooling to good use.

Growing

Miss Lexie will be 6 months on Sunday?! How did that even happen. I am loving every day with this girl though and it is SO fun to see the new things she develops and learns how to do. Some new things we have been experiencing over here:

Food.
I am still breastfeeding but I was anxious to see how she would respond to baby food. After her 4 month check up (when you are allowed to introduce them to rice cereal) I did it that night and she did not understand what was going on and was not a fan of it. I tried about a month later and it took a couple days but she loves it! So far she has had pears, bananas, sweet potatoes and squash. I don't do it everyday.. and I usually only do it around dinner time but she loves it whenever I let her eat it!

Rolling Over.
This girl is getting soooo frustrated that she can't move yet. She loves to roll over and try to reach as far as she can to try to reach things but no crawling yet! Some of the pictures capture her getting mad she can't crawl yet.

Swimming.
Today the high is 90 degrees... and it's not even Easter yet! Our new house has a neighborhood pool so today we walked over there and spent some time in the sunshine. (I did... she stayed in the shade). The water is still pretty cold but we loved getting in our swimming suits!

Hair Cuts:
This one I am really sad about. So she has pretty crazy hair.. and it was getting to the point where it was all uneven and the hair was growing over her ears and looked weird so my mom gave her a little trim. We can't help but laugh because without a headband she could be our little boy! Of course I am one of those moms that saved her hair and put it in her baby book. My sister Jessica also put her hair in a little pony tail one day and it was so dang cute.

After hair cute... haha

Color Run 2013

My sister Lisa found out that there was a 5K Color Run in Tempe, so she told us all to sign up because it looked super fun! So we signed up and got our race packet which had a shirt, sweat band, tattoos, and our racing number (all in white). We woke up early that morning and it was POURING rain.. but the race was not cancelled. So we showed up and there was tons of people and it was pretty much done raining.. just kind of sprinkling and we did the 5K! What the color run is, is everyone gets these chalk packets that you can throw on each other before or after.. and then throughout the 5k there is different color stations where volunteers throw more chalk at you! So basically you get colored chalk (which is just colored corn starch) all over and it was so fun to be able to do this with all of my sisters (minus Lindsey). The rain definitely made it just stick and make us all tie dye so the chalk might look cooler without the rain factor.. but it was still fun! Definitely something we will do again!

Four Months

Lexie was 4 months on January 17 so I'm basically documenting this for my memory!!

                                                  Weight: 12 lbs. 10 oz. (20th percentile)
                                                  Height:  26 in. (90th percentile)
Tall and skinny girl! She's a very petite thing but still tall just like her dad.

* At this stage she was wanting to roll over so bad and would get like half way there... but wouldn't quite do it all by herself without me giving her a little nudge. But once she was rolled over she loved it!
* All smiles and giggles and SCREAMING! Happy or sad... we've got quite the diva on our hands.
*LOVES sitting in her bumbo to watch me clean, cook, or whatever in the kitchen. She could sit there for hours!

White Christmas

We had our first white Christmas together as a family in Jake's hometown of Rexburg, Idaho. We were there for a whole week and had so much fun seeing family and friends and showing Lexie off to everyone. We were the only ones to be at his parents house on Christmas Day because our schedule is opposite of everyone else... but it was still so fun to spend time with them and we still got to see several of his siblings (since they all married people from Rexburg). As usual we took lots of pictures, so here is a picture overload of our week!

For Christmas Jake's mom made on of her gorgeous quilts for all of the girls! Mine looks just like the one Tiara is holding.. love it!

This was at the annual Christmas Eve bowling party!

I was so surprised the Lexie was able to sleep at the bowling party

Konda and Rex hosted a big Fullmer family dinner with Jake's siblings and another one of the Fullmer families that they are really close with.

This is the first pic of our trip... stuck at the airport... waiting for our 3 hour delayed plane!!

Flying with this girl was EASY! She is seriously the easiest, happiest baby!

She didn't quite grasp the concept on how to open presents...
Thanks Rex and Konda for spoiling us!
